When Professional Lending Solutions staff members attended a luncheon to help fundraise for the Men Of Business (MOB) Academy, they came away wanting to do more.
Hearing about the fundraising initiative of a 24-hour paddle at the luncheon spurred Phil and the PLS team to enter the 2021 Challenge. The team paddled for 24 continuous hours to raise $6200 to help the MOB Academy continue to improve the lives of local boys through mentorship and programs.

While listening to local radio station Sea 90.9 Gold Coast, Professional Lending Solutions’ own Managing Director, Phil Verheijen, heard the breakfast team put a call out for help. They were fundraising for domestic violence support charity Rizeup with a Gold Coast skydive.
Phil is the first to admit he hates heights and had never jumped out of a helicopter before, however, he felt compelled to face his fear and fundraise for Rizeup.
“Domestic violence is something that has touched my life and a lot of friends and work colleagues and I felt this was something I could do to inspire change,” Phil said.
Phil raised $5500 for his feat to support the charity’s valuable work that helps women and families move on after the devastation of domestic violence.

As a life member of the Griffith Uni Colleges Rugby Union Club, Professional Lending Solutions Managing Director, Phil Verheijen, has been heavily involved in the club for more than 25 years.
